SIFCA restores a plot of 1.17 hectares in Bongo

On June 5th, 2021, the world celebrated the International Environment Day. To mark the event, SIFCA Group once again reaffirmed its commitment to fighting deforestation, through the planting of forest and fruit trees over an area of 1.17 Hectares within the SAPH IFU of Bongo (South Comoé region in Côte d’Ivoire).
This reforestation activity carried out in the presence of SAPH Managing Director Mr. Marc Génot, Bongo Integrated Farm Unit Director Mr. Sylvestre Coulibaly, women and students, was carried out in partnership with the NGO Amistad, a specialist in environmental issues and sustainable development.
It must be noted that SIFCA and its subsidiaries are committed to restoring the forest cover. This commitment is materialized by the restoration of ecosystems through International Environment Day, by the implementation of the project one school = 5 hectares of forests, by the Ivorian National day of planting, reforestation, and the development of agroforestry.
